Steve Robert Hamel 23 Bertrands Way Acushnet “Smile, God loves you.” Steve’s ambition is to become a machinist. Happiness is to love and be loved. His most embarrassing moment was falling down the stairs at school. AHS has meant making good friends and having patient instructors. Steve thinks of becoming a millionaire. After school, he’d like to travel to Hawaii. “Don’t worry.” Deanna M. Harrison Hilltop Acres Lakeville Scorpio “Man needs others to become himself” J.V. Cheerleader 1 Choir 1, 2, 3, 4 Happy Harrison’s ambition is to become a professional dog trainer. Some of her favorites are Nauset Beach, Cape Cod, Italian subs, water skiing, and camping. Deanna’s most embarrassing moment was when she slipped in the cafeteria at AHS during lunch and her hands got into someone’s mashed potatoes. (Now how did that happen?) Her pet peeve is snobby people. Deanna would like to travel to LA, California. Gillian Hartley 1 Mullein Hill Lakeville Debora A. Hebert Lakeside Avenue Lakeville Gemini “To be part of music is like being a part of the river that flows on and on into greater horizons.” Choir 1, 2, 3, 4 Secretary 4 Band 1, 2, 3, 4 Tribesmen Sandpipers Accompianist 1, 2, 3, 4 Future Teachers 2 Vice President 2 Spanish Club 1, 2 Guys Dolls 3 Tennis 2 Field Hockey 2 Senior Council Deb’s ambition is to compose songs. Her favorites are Carly Simon, tennis, nighttime, and summer. Debbie’s most memorable moment in high school was having the chance to accompany the Guys Dolls musical. Happiness is playing the piano (No, really?) and her most embarrassing moment was when she held up the Christmas Concert to look for the bells.

His favorites are “The Locker”, The Rolling Stones, spring, July 17, 1970, and cutting French class. Happiness to Chuck is lazy days and good friends. He’ll miss the “food” in sensitivity after high school. Chuck thinks the bus seats are too close together. His most embarrassing moment was when he stood in the soprano section at the Christmas Concert. “Holler, but don’t hit.” Sheryl Anne Gross Bedford Street Lakeville Pisces “Who can tell what brightest thought out of darkness grows.” Pep Club 1, 2, 3, 4 Spanish Club 2 Choir 1, 2, 3, 4 Band 1, 2 Community Chorus 3 Sandpipers 2, 3, 4 J.V. Cheering 1 Sherry wants to have a long and happy life. Happiness is finding someone who’ll really care. After graduating, Sheryl will be attending cosmetology school. After school she’ll miss Sandpipers and friends. Sheryl admires Miss Dalenta the most. Sheryl’s most memorable moment was the Christmas Concert of 1974. Lauren J. Gurney 13 Gurney Rd. E. Freetown Virgo Honor Society 3, 4 Yearbook Staff Lauren thinks that everyone’s weird. (WELL! ) Her favorite beverage is Zarex. Patti’s locker is NOT her favorite hiding place. Lauren would like to travel to Australia. Her pet peeve is people who are phonies. Her favorites are Italian grinders and Chicago. Her most embarrassing moment was when she fainted in College Bio. 1 Happiness was getting her license to drive. “You’ll get over it.” Steven Kenneth Hagar 139 County Road East Freetown Cancer “We do not remember days, we remember moments. Football 1,2, 3, 4 Basketball 2 Baseball 1, 2 Golf 3, 4 Ski Club 3, 4 Honor Society 3, 4 Steve’s ambition is to graduate from a 4-year college and his goal is to get a job. Happiness to Steve is being with people he likes, while eating pepperoni pizza. His most memorable moment was when he broke his leg at football practice. Steve can usually be found in the halls dreaming of his watermelon sherbet coolers.

Denise Lynn Henricks 67 Main Street Lakeville Sagittarius “Please be patient, God isn’t finished with me yet.” Future Nurses’ Club 2, 3 Tennis 3, 4 French Club 2 Spanish Club 1, 2, 3 Ski Club 1, 3, 4 Pep Club 1, 2, 3, 4 Honor Society 3, 4 Senior Council De, whose favorite season is winter, wants to further her education in Colorado, to travel — maybe on the “Pumpkin Coach,” get married and be happy. When sad, De listens to Cat Stevens, drinks milk, writes to Jon S., and talks to no one but her cat. She spends her time learning how to ski, playing tennis, playing basketball, and tending to her plants. David Jackson 2 Cranberry Drive Assonet “A single day among the learned lasts longer than the longest life of the ignorant.” Honor Society 1, 2, 3, 4 David’s ambition is to go to the Naval Academy and to become rich. His favorites are pizza, billiards, coke, and Elton John music. When he’s sad he takes a walk. He enjoys fishing for striped bass and his favorite season is salt??? Donald Hotte 10 Estelle Avenue East Freetown Sagittarius “Enjoy the day!” Band 1 Don would like to run his own business. He enjoys Chinese food and beautiful sunny days on Long Pond, listening to Jethro Tull. You may find him in his boat, playing tennis, or watching girls. To Don, the past years at Apponequet have been discipline. Robert Hughes Hemlock Point East Freetown Scorpio “All great men are dead and I’m not feeling so well.” Hockey 2, 3 “Rock” will miss nothing about high school. He likes hockey and Big Macs. Happiness is Literature of War and May 15. Rocky would like to go to Jupiter and thinks Kool-Aid is great!
