DEDICATION Mr. Gary Crook It is with much gratitude and many fond memories that we the class of “74” dedicate this, our great yearbook, to Mr. Gary Crook. As one of our former advisors, he was always ready to work hard for the betterment of our class. Mr. Crook was truly dedicated to his work here and the students he taught. He will always be one of the most colorful and meaningful threads in our tapestry at AHS. For the pleasure and privilege of knowing him and of working with him, we would like to thank him with this dedication. 2

Tapestry Carole King My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hue An everlasting vision of the everchanging view A wondrous woven magic in bits of blue and gold A tapestry to feel and see, impossible to hold Once amid the soft sOver sadness in the sky Tliere came a man of fortune, a drifter passing by He wore a torn and tattered cloth around Iris leathered hide And a coat of many colors, yellow-green on either side He moved with some uncertainity, as if he didn’t know Just what he was there for, or where he ought to go Once he reached for something golden hanging from a tree And his hand came down empty Soon within my tapestry along the rutted road He sat down on a river rock and turned into a toad It seemed that he had fallen into someone’s wicked spell And 1 wept to see him suffer, thougli I didn’t know him well As 1 watched in sorrow, there suddenly appeared A figure gray and ghostly beneath a flowing beard In times of deepest darkness. I’ve seen him dressed in black Now my tapestry’s unravelling; he’s come to take me back He’s come to take me back Our lives have been a tapestry of moments and memories now woven into the past. Tlris book represents the bits and pieces that have made up our lives in the past 4 years. Now we will go on and add in our individual ways weaving an over- all picture. 3
