You, as members of the graduating class of 1962, have reached an important milestone in life. You are now about to take part in a new and exciting venture -that of becoming a responsible adult in a society desperately in need of vigorous, eager citizens. l suggest to you that the responsible American faces each day with a spirit of willingness, continually offering himself whenever and wherever needed. Watching the stage of life as a mere spectator does not interest such a person. He much prefers to play an active, stimulating role. To each of you, our congratulations for having achieved one of life's cherished goals.
