and so, we travel on. it's hard to say just how, because, for every person there's a different way to understand the breaking dawn and face the gathering wind. lnow' isn't the easiest time for us, this stepping into another year and adding and subtracting from ourselves. it requires a strength that, too often, we find absent from our lives. and so, we gaze into the past in hopes that memories will cloak away the fears. strange, somehow, that memories don't often find themselves in books; it's the circles we remember most: the tests life brought us that demanded self-examination until we knew ourselves. and the times when excellence was a tool employed to teach each one about his own, real worth. and then those moments when life could only be understood alone away from all plastioity and clamor. funny how our only real happiness always realized its beginning in a mind alone, determined to understand. we were spun by other circles, too, perhaps. the game of life re-echoed on a football field, and jubilation over honors well deserved. friends spun in circles, too, sometimes cliqueSe but still, they helped us grow. and now that we gaze back, even the one-time-bad seems painted good. sad sometimes that no one's scoreboard ticks forever. outward things must pass, and outward circles cease, but when it all has come and gone, we each will travel on, and face the gathering winds, and smile at breaking dawns, and step into the circles that spell time and life to us.-Chery1 Brunner Athletics .................. 84 Classes .................... l 12 Index ...................... 153
