GIRLS SUIT UP FOR ATHLETICS Rita Gerhardt watches a demonstration of judo skills by Bonnie Purner and her partner. During a weekly gymnastics practice, Lynn Skarda assists a fellow G.A.A. member, Toni Mueller, in a handstand on the balance beam. Awaiting their turn, G.A.A. members get into position for take oft in a swimming competition among the classes. The juniors won the con- test by tallying the highest number oftpoints. Julie Sawyers battles with her opponent for the ball during a G.A.A. basketball game. G.A.A. offered many sports for girls this year in- cluding gymnastics, badminton, and basketball.
