The Appalachia Bulldogs’ baseball team, having only three lettermen returning this year, 1969- 70, surprised both coaches and fans as they compiled an overall record of 11 wins and 7 losses. In conference play, they boasted 5 victories against 3 losses, which came at the hands of Gate City twice and Powell Valley once. This gained them the number two place in the conference, tied with Powell Valley. The ' Dogs have even greater plans for next year as they will have six experienced lettermen re¬ turning . 96 The team is tense as they wait for the game to begin. 1970 ALL-SPORTS BANQUET Lion Joe Munsey announces the recipients of the awards.
