A .Co-Captain FLEMING MILLS A A A .Cofjaprain The basketball teams must be commended for a fine display of spirit and sportsmanship. Many teams were played and none were conquered, but the lads showed aggressiveness and determination. Among the outstanding teams We played, we met none with more qualities of the victorious than our boys. The seniors to leave this division of athletics are Warren Bailey, Fleming Mills, and Woodrow Maynard. We'll miss these boys next year but the spirit and feeling they leave has been instilled within the hearts of the up-and-coming freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. and will lead to bigger things next year. Co-Captain This year was a successful one for athletics in the phase of sportsmanship, Our team showed lack of material and experience, but this deficiency was overbalanced by superior sportsmanship. stamina, and courage, The boys ability developed as the season progressed, and much credit must be given to all the players for their line show of fortitude and the will to learn. In none of the games the boys played were they victorious in points, but they won other qualities which could never be obtained by touchdowns. We are looking forward to next years crew for sportsmanship and touchdowns. We regret the loss of the seniors, Woodrow Maynard, David Lee Jones, Vwfarren Bailey, and Wade Baker. who so faithfully bore the brunt of the attacks from such teams as Raleigh, Sanford, Wakelon, and Cary. To those who are to return to the line of scrimmage, we look forward to a more successful season. For those who graduate, we wish success in future life and happy hunting grounds.
