Cagers Clinch Consolatlon The Junior Varsity team had an excellent year, as is evident in their fine record. After meeting some tough teams, they ended the regular season with a record of 9-6 and pro- ceeded to the District play-offs. There, they won their first four games but were met with a number of disheartening losses and had to set- tle for runner-up in the Consolation champi- onships. B-Ballers Have Good Season The basketball team played well this year with a season record of slightly under .500. Besides this fine effort, they also had a number of other accomplishments. The team played to a second place showing in the eight-team Canyon Tournament. The Apaches' record in the Southside Tourna- ment was good enough for a first place in the Consolation round. The team ended the year with a 2-7 record. With seven Seniors going on to bigger things, there will be a big hole to fill. But with five returning under- classmen and many players coming up from the Junior Varsity team, the future looks bright.
