The boys in the above picture earned certificates from the Air- man's Qualifying Examination. Sergeant Van Rite, shown far right, presents a certificate to Chuck Whitehead, who achieved a perfect score. First Row: Steve Altobelli, John Kemmy, Steve Fisher, Tom Kraemer, Rick Somers, Dave Scott, Leonard Ras- trelli, Conrad Salinas, Ray Zowarka. Standing: Larry Mengden, Steve Scecina, Mike Mikulas, Gerald Lee, John Montfort, Adrian Anderson, Fred Westendarp, Ron Toon, Bill Dunn, Andy Maldonado, Carl Schneider, Bill Palmer, Louis Lecoke, Tom Stark, Chuck Whitehead, Sergeant Van Rite. Barry Barcelona was picked by his fellow football players as Most Valuable Player, while Mike Mott and Dennis Chermak were chosen as Outstanding Back and Outstanding Lineman respectively. Mark Wienties received both the MVP and Most Re bounds awards in basketball, and Andy Obriottl won the plaque for most points scored.
