Awards This year at Antonian all athletic and scholas- tic awards were presented at a special Awards Banquet held at the Sheraton lnn. Letters in football, basketball, baseball, and track were given out, along with special awards in each of these sports. The academic awards were the Torch Award, Religion Trophy, Honor Certif- icate, General Merit Award, Social Studies Award, and Perfect Attendance Certificate. The Torch Award is presented to the five stu- dents on each level who maintain the highest scholastic averages. Junior winners were Hen- ry Amen, Thomas McGary, Nick Pantuso, Carl Schneider, and Raymond Zowarka. Sopho- mores were Tim Bolton, Louis Botto, Charles Garrett, Robert Kavanaugh, and Tim Tynan. Bruce Baethge, Jim Bauml, Bill Brendel, Hans Dahl, and Richard Lochte were the freshmen winners. The Religion Trophy is awarded to one boy from each level who achieves straight A's in Religion and scores highest on a test admin- istered in the fourth quarter. The winners were: Nick Pantuso, iunior, Louis Botto, soph- omore, Bill Brendel and Robert Van Rite, freshmen Ctiel. The Honor Certificate is given to those stu- dents who attain the honor roll at least twice during the first three quarters.
