Student Faculty Game The annual battle between the faculty and the basketball team was fought on January 23, 1967. The faculty starting five of Coach Meyer, Br. David, Br. Castilie, Br. Stanley, and Mr. Hayes iumped into a quick lead, but the varsity, cheered on by a large crowd, nar- rowed the lead in the second quarter as the faculty began to tire. From then on it was a close game, if only because the oldsters were helped con- siderably by the lone referee. Just before the final buzzer, Coach Meyer sank a long iump shot to end the scoring, leav- ing the faculty with a 63-62 victory. Butch Vela and Br. Stanley wait for the results of a iumpball between Mark Wienties and Br. David. 98 Guess who's cheering for the faculty at the preegame pep rally. Br. David, guarded by Mark Wienties, gets off a shot as Al Hawkins and Chuck Speier look on.
