7 Sams, superintendent s message It is the sincere wish of your teachers that at the end of four years in high school you will have gained some knowledge which will be useful to you. We trust that we have en- couraged your best hopes: that we have presented history as a story of human adventure, not as a dirgeg literature as something to be enjoyed, not as an inter- ruption to the real business of living, science as a tool for the builder, not as a way of losing one's perspective. You have enjoyed a full schedule of scho- lastic, athletic, and extra cur- ricular activity. School has been one of life's certainties-- stable even in the face of war and strife. This annual will be a memory book of these safe years, which will recall events that you will recount to your own children --our students of the future.
