Dear Duary DECEMBER 22 1950 Thus evenung marked our classs furst dance Wunter Wonderland So close before Chrustmas the semu formal affaur proved to be much needed and quute successful APRIL 13 1951 Moonlught and Roses determuned our decorations for a semu formal freshman dance Led by Jacquuta Guthrue and Tony Mercado the commuttee was composed of Jacque de Gallery Henry Fasel Valerue Ann Fueld Peggy Wulluams and Katherune Wunton Many freshmen worked to make theur furst dance a success MARCH 7 1952 Today we completed the decoratuons for the Sprung Mardu Gras our Sophomore Hop Everyone who attended was un a festuve lrush mood The affaur was semuformal wuth Ruth Lambert and Leonard Gacques general chaurmen and a commuttee whuch uncluded Guyla Really Jay Davudson Jum Puerce Katherune Wunton Jacquuta Guthrue Jean Colon Beth McKummy Pat Duff and Marvelle Puccu OCTOBER 31 1952 Tonught was the last home football game concludung the uunuor classs money makung protects Throughout the season the gurls sold cake candued apples and popcorn to uncrease our treasury NOVEMBER 21 1953 Junuor Prom Queen Shurley Ballard presuded over the Starlught Room Included un the court were Jodue Lucas escorted by Ronnue Cougar Glorua Dodge escorted by Roger Bauman Beth McKummy escorted by Ralph Holdung and Jean North escorted by Cal Chaney All of us uunuors were un our prettuest formals wuth all the students teachers and parents enuoyung themselves ummensely Workung on the commuttee were co chaurmen Jonell Lucas Larry Hartchorn and Guyla Reully DECEMBER 18 1953 ln keepung wuth the Yuletude Spurut our class presented the annual Chrustmas dance Commuttee APRIL 2 1954 Tonughts performance of The Hobble de Hoy proved to be even more successful than the matmee guven yesterday afternoon Although only about thurty members of the class of 1954 partucupated un makung theur play a success many hours of long work were represented Colorful costumes a wonderful settung for the Campus Bowl and the lughtung all provuded an excellent atmosphere Durected by Mr Conrad Smuth who deserves much credut the Hobble de Hoy group was auded by patuent advusors Mrs Anne Lynde Mr Joseph Torp and Mr Art Lanuer MAY 7 1954 What a wonderful tume I had un Kung Neptunes Court' All the whute dunner uackets and frothy formals plus the exotuc decoratuons formed a lavush atmosphere The commuttee members uncluded Hollus Osborne Ray Dupure Betty Hazzard Larry Jacobsen Cal Chaney Marsha Luma Carol Hartman Barbara Powers Glorua Dodge Art Moore Oluvua Terra Pat Duff Jacque de Gallery Tal Carter Rudy Grazuanu Ruth Lambert Layne Holluday Janue Harrungton Judy Sondecker and John Green The party afterwards was a wonderful get together wuth lots of happy couples laughung and sungung MAY 19 1954 You should have seen the senuors today! Dress Up Day proved to be the best one un years What a hularuous ruot some of the costumes caused' Colors and orugunaluty predomunated wuth the uudges fundung ut hard to select the wmners MAY 25 1 954 Dutch Day proved to be enormous fun sunbathung swummung dancung and playung baseball at Turtle Rock Ranch The fact that all other classes were attendung school made nt extra special JUNE 11 1954 Well tonught was the nught After four long years we receuved our coveted duplomas The musuc put us un a tearful mood but we were brought back to realuty when the student speakers, Beth Mc Kummy Janus Reud and Ruchard Elltott gave theur wonderful addresses Awards and trophues ended suspenseful moments Not a foot was out of step un the recessuonal although each of us was burstung with uoy and thankfulness amidst the blue and sulver decoratuons The party which followed proved to be loads of fun Alas, the Class of 1954 has stepped out unto the world I I l I 1 1 - 1 1 11 - 11 . 1 - 1 1 11 A 11 - - -- - I I D I V D 1 1 . 1 - 11 - - 11 , . .
