FCCM(5W) CLINTON E. TATRO COMMAND MASTER CHIEF Master Chief Tatro enlisted in the Navy in March of 1975, and reported to USS DUBUQUE (LPD-8), his first command, as an FTGS in August 1976. While on- board, he completed one WESTPAC and was ad- vanced to FTG2. He was then assigned to USS SOUTHERLAND {DD-743) for a short tour prior to attending the Combat Systems Technical School. He changed rate to FTM, and received orders in Septem- ber of 1978 to USS JOSEPH STRAUSS (DDG-16). He was advanced to FTMl in June of 1980. Following in- structor duty at CSTSC Mare Island, he was advanced to Chief Petty officer. Master Chief Tatro next served aboard USS FORD (FFG-54) as Ordinance Division LCPO. After advancement to FCCS(SW), he served as Command Senior Chief for two years. During this tour. Master Chief Tatro participated in Operation Earnest Will. Master Chief Tatro was advanced to FCCM(SW) in April 1989 while working as the Assistant Director of Family Service Center Naval Station Long Beach. He reported to USS ANTIETAM (CG-54) as Command Master Chief in 1990 during Operation Desert Shield. FCCM(SW) TATRO SAYS THAT IF HE ' S SMILING IT HAS TO BE SINGAPORE. I PG6

Oldani was born in Detroit, Michigan on 30 April 1958. He was com- missioned through the NROTC Program upon gradu- ation from the University of Michigan in 1980, where he received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Me- chanical Engineering. Upon completion of Nuclear Power Training, Lieu- tenant Commander Oldani reported to USS ARKAN- SAS (CGN 41), where he served as Chemistry and Ra- diological Assistant. His next sea tour was aboard USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) as Reactor Training Assistant. He was then assigned as an ROTC Instructor at his alma mater, the University of Michigan. Following training at the Surface Warfare Depart- ment Head School in Newport, Rhode Island, he re- ported to USS BOWEN (FF 1079) as Combat Systems Officer. He then returned to USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) as Reactor Mechanical As- sistant, and was subsequently assigned as Reactor Electrical Assistant. Prior to commencing the training pipeline for his assignment as Executive Officer of USS ANTIETAM, he graduated with distinction from the Command and Staff Course at the Naval War Col- lege, earning a Masters Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies. Lieutenant Commander Oldani is authorized to wear the Navy Commendation Medal with two gold stars. Battle Efficiency Ribbon (4), and various cam- paign and service medals and ribbons including the Southwest Asia Medal. PG5
