Grapplers lose their grip The young Anthony Wayne wrestling team finished the season with a record of no wins and six losses. Wrestlers of the week included Mike Meadows for the Springfield Tournament, Perrysburg Tournament, and Lake meet, Barry Foltz for Perrysburg and Delta meets, Denny Thomas for Maumee and Rossford meets, and Doug Hawks for the Start Tournament. Mike Mead- ows advanced through Sectionals to the District meet where he was eliminated from the competition. The most valuable wrestler was Mike Meadows. He also had the most takedowns and falls. The most- improved wrestler was Denny Thomas. Denny also moved into seventh place in the most season reversals with eleven. Female managers and trainers were not allowed in the field house this year. The girls served as matmaids and scorekeepers instead. They were Kelly Cichy,,Ianet Smith, Sandi Ziegler, Drenda Woodland, and Ann Gooden. 1. The team watches one of its member's match. Ed Cp 2.
