A.W. welcomes four exchange siudenis f1?Tievs i '7 ,.,. The boy had been in the dreamland. It was a beautiful land he had never seen before. He met so many people in this land. They were so kind and so fine. He had dreamed almost one year. He never wanted to leave. But after one year, he had to leave. He decided he'd never forget everything happened in this dreamland. He'll love everyone forever. He did not want to say goodbye, but see you later. See you later, he just whispered. Tadashi Fujita japan When I first come to America I found everything different. I didn't know too much about the American customs, the language and something more important in my life, the people, but I think everything was easier since I was interested in learning the American way, Every day was different for me. I knew new people and new things and all the things play a part in my experience at Anthony Wayne. I can't ever forget the good memories that I have. I remember the homecom- ing, football season, the basketball team, the band, the choir, the waterworks, the play, graduation, Senior week and many more. This is something that always I will have with me. The school taught me many things such as patience, friendship, love and brought me many memories I will never forget. Bad times, good times, but all these things I will take home with me to Colombia to share with my friends and my family. I thank everyone that made my year possible and happy. W2-ATT? ' .ang .. 2' K 'f',t,.'s3?.:s ' :fi ln .ug -vi ,' 'Q- The year I spent in the United States of America was filled with strange experiences which I shall always remember. I would like to thank the Reyes family for accepting me into their home and sharing their life with me for half a year. I am grateful to the people who gave me the opportunity to come to this country, and to the people, my friends and the other numerous people I met here, who made my stay so very, very worthwhile. jelle Hoekstra Holland I came here to America for the main purpose of experiencing people and myself in a foreign or strange surrounding which was mainly represented by the family and school life. During the year I had the tremendous fortune to live with the McKimmy family who shared much of their life with me. The American school system was of special inter- est for me because it differs in its structure and the way pupils are taught. School seemed to be most of the time a game you play and at the end you get a 'per called diploma. Especially obvious, it was reflected in the way pupils conduct, express, and study. The many activities seem to make school to be ch, much more fun or is it only a matter to escape real academical advancement? Mainly it was a matter of better understanding among the whole dent body. But summing up, I want to say that America in its magnificent differences and still remaining possibilities has impressed me tremendously and rely has opened my conscience with its many faults and its greatness at the same time.
