The paper was published twice monthly, with spe- cial editions for Christmas and Graduation. This year saw a rise in student interest in the Dispatch, particularly in the editorial department, and many varying opinions were presented through editorials written by staff members, students and other sources. Led by tri-editors Lori Peters, Ken What the Hell Staeble, and the ever-intellectual Rich Thayer, the Dis- patch staff worked hard writing, printing and selling their paper, and their efforts are appreciated. Although they were forced by inflation to raise the price to fifteen cents, students continued to support the General's Dispatch. GeneroI's Dispatch 131

Mr. Ewald heads managers and trainers Most students think of the MATC as sim- ply the backstage crew for sports, and that they merely take care of equipment and treat injured players. What many don't realize is that the MATC, like other clubs, held many yearly activities. This year they included two picnics, a basketball game, and a bowling party. To defray expenses, they sponsored a rummage sale, a car wash, a turkey raffle, bake sale, cake raffle and an ice sale. Led by Mr. Ewald, they enjoyed a very active and suc- cessful year. Trailblazer - Underslaffed. Over-worked With a ridiculously small staff fighting deadlines, mis- placed copy, companies who lose pictures, and Tim's Monday morning hangovers, it's a wonder we got anything accom- plished. It was a rough year with only seven staff members, and we sometimes wondered if it was worth the hassle. How- ever, there were good times between the hard work meeting deadlines, staying after school, etc. Like the time Tim plucked out all of Kelly's eyebrows. And chasing each other across the tables. fLori fell.j And Liz undressing in the corner. And the time Kelly took twenty terrific pictures and then discovered she'd forgotten to put film in the camera. And the MANY times we were forced to de-intellectualize Liz's copy. And our drag race coming home from the Napoleon workshop. We hope you appreciate the result of our headaches, wor- ries, cussing and nervous ulcers. We enjoyed doing it. 1, Co-editor Tim Baucrschmidt enjoyed his position as token male on the staff. , I- 2.
