Checkmaie This year's chess club had a good year, and there will be many returning underclassmen next year. The club meets one night a week to practice, learn new strategies, and play a cou- ple of games. They shot to a record of eight wins, one loss and one tie, which was good enough to earn them a sec- ond place position in the Maumee Valley High School Trapshooting League. Under advisor ,Ion Luce, the team practiced twice weekly during their season, which ran from September to March. Dave Brahier was out- standing shooter, twice scoring a perfect 25 out of 25 hits.
