B. Billings, principal, is completing his first year of service in the Anthony school system. Mr. Billings had had ten years of teaching ex- perience with six of those .ten spent in administration. He was principal of the Cimarron public schools last year. One of the Council's major activities was the All School Carnival. Proceeds from the All School Carnival were used to buy a pop corn machine to be used at the concession stands at all athletic events. The Council purchased two movies for the student body. The executive officers were Gerald Schmidt, president; Richard Baird, vice-president; Jo Ann Randels, secretary- treasurer. The slogan of the organization is Clean Speech, Clean Sports, Clean Scholarship, Clean Living. The Hi-Y served refreshments at the Freshman reception and helped with many of the school's special programs.
