'IJ-Deen Y-Teens Cabinet members (pic- tured at right) are, horizontally, Freddie Morton, secretary; Nancy Truby, president; Miss Claudine Chamberlain, sponsor; Freida Hud- gens, treasurer; Patty Fox, vice- president; vertically,Janet Coglizer, music; Carole Stout, worship; Jo Deen Howe, program; Mary Jo Stew- art, pianist; Beverly Harrison, serv- ice; Rita Jo Lovelady, social; Mari- lyn Button, publicity; Jean Johnson, song leader. “To build a fellowship of women and girls, devotedto the task of realizing in our common life those ideals of personal and social living to which we are committed by our faith as Christians. So begins the purpose of the Y-Teens. These girls, united with millions more, seek understanding of our God and the faiths of others. In fulfilling these ideals, the girls have sponsoreda Book Exchange, Roll Call Week of recognition, a Mother-Daughter Banquet, a series of meetings on personal relations and the District Winter YWCA Conference which is pictured below.

Hi-Y Cabinet members (pic- tured at left) are, from front to back in seccessive rows, GlennHoopes, assistant program chairman; Phil Donica, devotional chairman; Robert Freed, service chairman; Mr. Dick Trigg, sponsor; Lyle Rousseau, membership chairman; Francis Hoopes, secretary; Travis Durr, program chairman; Jim Hilts, social chairman; Duane Pulliam, publicity chairman; Wil- liam Behrmann, vice-president; Monte Gass, friendship chairman; Vernon Angle, treasurer. Not in picture: Walter “Lefty” Under- wood, president; Glenn Tague, music chairman. Just as a Pirate goes out on a new sea voyage full of excitement and danger to seek more gold and riches in earthly form and value, the Hi-Y, too, goes out on adventures full of excitement and enjoyment and at the same time achieves certain spiritual and emotional standards without in any way offending the religious faith of any person, but produces a worshipful spirit in each member. One greataim of the Hi-Y is to reach the heart, mind, and soul of each of us in order that we may take the greatest of all ships, Jesus Christ, with us wherever we go. The Hi-Y sponsors such activities as the box supper pictured below.

Once in a while a few members of our Pirate crew become mutinous. To stop the rebellions and also to discuss and decide how to thwart threatening storms, the crew chose a group of their fellow Pirates for this purpose. This group, known as the Student Council, is composed of: FRONT ROW, Left to Right: Bob Graves, Judy Eakins, Virginia Goddard, Neva Davis, Phil Donica.
