The ship was kept on a steady course by three able commanders, Admiral Phil Donica, Vice Admiral Freddie Morton, Rear Admiral Glenn Tague. The crew obtained great honors in all sports and activities. When the course was rugged the two captains, Miss Natalie Chavey and Mr. Sanford (Sandy) Newsom, were always on hand to take charge. With their eyes toward the future our Pirates are looking forward to higher, better results and achievements to be found beyond the horizon. 18
