Class Prophecy we went to the baseball game that nlght It was the flnals of the Unlversal serles The All-Spacers were play1ng the Rocketeers the pitcher for the All-Space tea threw out the ball, we could tell by the curve that it was J1m Flnzen We called over the peanut vender to get an old fashioned sack of peanuts when he approached, we could see that lt was Dale, because he had a slgn on hls jacket that read Buzy Uttecht's mllf' ' He sald the mllk busmess wasn't very good any more beca se of the new art1f1c1al mllk We turned our attentlon back to the ga s gust ln t1me to see J1m throw the w1nn1ng ball across the plate As we were golng out we bumped 1nto S She sald that she and her better half were runnlng a farm on Way Road She ln v1ted us to come and see her s1x chlldren at home, but our vacatlon t1me had run out we arrlved on Earth a few days later and went to Anthon to tell all the folks about our wonderful tr1p Senior Ill tor In the fall of l9h2, n1ne members of the future Uclass of 1955 enrolled 1n the klndergarten of Anthon Public School F1ve out of that class stlll remaln a part of the senlor class They are Sally Beeson, Jerry Iulllcane, Dorothy Myers, Joan Petersen, and Jack Rey nolds Our superlntendent was H P Shedd In our second year, Dale Uttecht golned us The next year, a new superlntendent, C H Bones came to Anthon, and was w1th us unt1l 1952 In the fourth grade, Helen Butcher was added to the class Sh1rley Iad1son and harJor1e Fey golned us 1n the flfth grade In the fall of l9h9, J1m Jahn fell in l1ne Anna Petersen Joined us 1n the eighth grade In our freshman year, Dlane Brown, Jul1e Coyne, Frank Elchholt, Norma Hanson, Barbara Lewis, Donald Lillie, Betty McDermott, Don Paul son, John Paulson, and Dav1d Peterson became members of our class, bary Tomklns Jo1ned us 1n the JUn1OT year Our flrst party was a freshman hayride piCH1C 1n the month of October Some of our more exc1t1ng eplsodes concern our play prac t1ces For lnstance, the nlght we stayed after practlce and played a llttle baseball Dav1d really brought up h1s battlng average that nlght of course, we had a broken score clock to pay for Another excltlng tlme was preparlng for the Junlor Senior Banquet It seemed as though we'd never flnlsh 1n tlme But, by hook or by crook, we flnally succeeded The theme of our banquet was nUnder the Sea,N and, of course, we were very pleased with the results, although we never w1ll forget the tlme it took to roll the paper up afterwards On Tuesday, October S, of last fall, we went up to Genell1's to have our senlor p1ctures taken Everyone was worrled about the results and we all found out that p1ctures don't l1e After the p1ctures were taken we went to the Green Gables and ate, then went to a show Before long, we wall be presentlng our senlor class play, which w1ll be nspooks A11ve U We have our flngers crossed that we do not have any Haccldentsn Slmllar to those at our JUn1OT play Sklp Da n and Commencement are Just around the corner for us, and we reallze that before long we w1ll be leaving A H S for the last tlme We know we w1l1 miss A H S very much and hope that 1n the future we are mlssed a llttle bit too PERSELL'e CLEAN RS, Cleanlng, Ien's Ykar, Battle Creek, Iowa UOur dork lust Satlsfy H U ' - . . The Sensor Prophecy The year 1S 1965 We took off for Iars on the Rocketeer Imagine who our a.1r hostesses were two Old frlends, Shlrlgy and Lorraine They had been to every planet except Pluto and they say that they see plen ty of hm :Ln the movies Je had a n1ce tr1p but we thought lt was a llttle too fast We could understand the speed when we saw that the pllot was Our lug gage was unloaded by a fanlliar person D1dn't take us long to remem ber our old schoolmate, Donald L1ll1e Thought we would get acquainted w1th some of the night spots of Milky Nay, Mars Stopped at the Dew Drop Inn and to our surprlse found that Barbara and Anna were the ovmers Barbara sald she needed someth1ng ke that to feed her twelve Pads After dlnner we were entertained by that famous quartet, the Starllghters, Joan, Betty, I'x3l'JOI'16, and .EX The next morning we needed perlnng up so we went to a beauty salon and were greeted by D1a.ne She sa.1d she was tr'y1ng to perfect a way to make everybody' s rE'.1. r naturally curly She told us that Helen was a de lgner of men's clothes We went to Helen's department and she told us that the latest fad wath men was a large chaln After we were remodeled, we decided to rent a Spacemobile to see the rest of the clty We 'vere attracted by a large slgn that read, Don's and John's Spacemoblle Rental Agency We were met by Donfs chee smnle A stream l1.ned Spacemoblle caught our eye John and Norma came out Just then and cla:1.med the credat for the dSS1gl'1lI1g and decor atlng We were glven the pleasure of belng flrst to r1de 1n thas new creatlon We were CI'l1lS111g along at 90 mlles an hour when we were stopped by a radar llght The traffic cop motloned us on and we suddeflllf colllded with another Spacemoblle We Jumped out to see lf the other drlver was hurt What a surprlse to flnd that lt was Dave Only now he told us he was Professor Peterson at a Umversity About the tune we got around to d1scuss1ng the damages, the trafflc cop, who was the real cause of the trouble, came rambllng over We should have known lt was 112 Dave took us over to the Universlty where we found J1m Jahn worlcmg on has new 1nvent1on He 1s trylng to f1nd a new way to lull tune He sa.1d he started worklng on it whale st1l.'L 1n hlgh school That night we went to a premlere of the mov1e, Love in the Outer R gions, starrlng Frank and Jul1e Frank was bllled as the Greatest Lover of the Age After the play we went backstage to talk to Frank and Julie Julle sa.1d offstage she 18 the w1fe of a promlnent produc er and mother of two children The next afternoon we went to the famous Ml-Space Race As we went up to the raal, we heard someone holler, get on that motorcycle, man, and go, go, go We turned to see who lt was and found Dorothy g1V1!'1g Jack h1s last mlnute :Lnstructlons Seems lake he's been gettlng those SEI l1Ct10I1S slnce he finlshed h1gh school STAR THEATER, Cy Schulte, Prop , Anthon, Iowa New Clnemascope Installation' I ' .
