ROY A. KNAPP District Superintendent As chief executive of the board. Dr. Knapp directs, administers, and supervises all divisions and units of the school system with authority to delegate as may be appropriate. Having spent more than two decades at A. V., Dr. Knapp has obtained an extensive background for encountering the many problems associated with his office. We owe many things to Dr. Knapp, namely his responsibility towards the maintenance of Antelope Valley High, which is rated very high- ly in Southern California, and contending with the ever expanding enrollment which we cope with each year. Mr. John W. Landrum A.V.J.U.H.S. Principal Our school administrators' enthusiasm and hard work have had a tremendous effect on our student body. Mr. John Landrum, our Principal, developed and coordinated the curriculum standards, supervised instructional methods and all other activities directly concerned with pupils, teachers and other personnel. As Assistant Principal Mr. Abe Loewen di- rected and coordinated all school social affairs. Assistant Principal and curriculum work were the job of Mrs. Billye Adams, Mr. Earl Ritten- house directed Student Business Activities, Mr. Ernest Tosi is the Director of Auxiliary Services and Mr. Sid Harrington is the Superintendent of the Fairgrounds.
