OUR SENIOR ABROAD Would you like to learn a different lan- guage and visit a new country? Bill Frans decided to visit his great-grandparents' homeland through a foreign exchange student program making his dream be- come a reality. He was sponsored in Finland by the Antelope-Wellton Rotary Club. He attend- ed Sotunki High School while living with different families in a town called Vantaa. Bill learned and really got into” lots of new things like ice skating and cross country skiing .. . even when the tem- perature dropped to a -36°F. When it was that cold Bill admitted that he missed Wellton sunshine. He really enjoyed mak- ing new friends, remarking, Finish peo- ple are great!” Bill learned to eat and enjoy many new foods like Blood pancakes and liver dishes.
