Juniors Sponsor A Night On the Town On April 22, the Junior Class sponsored the Junior-Senior Prom. The Prom committee consisted of Terrie and Carrie Crenshaw, Pam Crowley, Kay Stewart, and sponsor Mrs. Schwartz. Transforming the cafeteria into a large city night scene took some doing, but with the help of Mrs. G. Stewart and Mrs. J. Seriale it all took place. Tables were set on sidewalks with outdoor street lamps set at each corner highlighting the mood “A Night On the Town”. The Rhapsody band featuring R. Madsen and last years graduate K. Baughman entertained the well attended event Prom King Jesus Quintana and Queen Juana Federico. Dressed fit to the “T” are K. Seymour and T. Wheeler. R. Rinehart enjoys the evening and his date while S. Madsen chats with a friend.

Freshman candidates Miguel Rojano and Delia Figueroa. Every year the Graphic Arts class sponsors a contest to promote yearbook sales. Each class elects a boy and girl to be Desert Sands candidates.
