Miss Christmas Cheer 1 2 Every year at Christmas time the students participate in a drive for the needy. This contest is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and is designed to help the needy at Christmas time. Every class receives points for canned foods, new and useable toys, lettuce, oranges, and non-perishable foods. Points are also given for room decorations. Every class selects a girl as their Miss Christmas Cheer candidate. This year Maria Loera was named Miss Christmas Cheer for the Juniors. Irene Perez-Arce finished second for the Seniors. The Sophomores finished third with Dawn Bucholz as their candidate. Nancy Bucholz finished last for the Freshmen. (Photo Idents) 1. Sophomore candidate Dawn Bucholz. 2.
