In the final round the Rams were up against the tall team from Tombstone. The game was close up to halftime, but in the second half the Rams couldn’t be stopped. They rolled over Tombstone 86-67, as Antelope’s Barry Lindsey set a state tournament record by scoring 50 points. Antelope fans went wild as the State Championship trophy was awarded to Coach Sipe by the Vice President of the A.I.A. and our own superintendent, Mr. Sid Grande.
