T H E Dean A. Curtis Principal As another year draws to a close, we again bid farewell to a group of students who will seek their fortunes beyond these walls. We wish them success, whether it be in higher education, or the world of economics. Each year, we also bid fare- well to some of our faculty and remember them for the contributions they have made to our progress. May we pause to consider what it is that makes an educational institution — our high school — what it is. Is it the students, teachers, and staff who come and go? Is it the buildings, grounds and equipment? Is it the variety of activities — sports, music, publications, and dramatics? Is it the classes, formal and informal? Yes, it is all of these and more. It is the action and interaction of all of these, bound together by the common goal of education and growth of individuals. It is the spirit of belonging, and of pride in the accomplishments of individuals, teams, and groups, felt by the students, faculty, alumni, parents and community that make Antelope Union High School a desirable institution of learning. May we ever foster the ideals which make our school outstanding, that all who come here may profit individually and leave for those who follow worthwhile traditions. 6 -
