Some one has said that a person is affected by the experiences he encounters. I hope that you have been influenced by rich and wholesome experiences at Anson High School which will make for success and happiness throughout life. The halls seemed empty after he left us, but his memory remained. No one who knew him well could ever forget the animated grin or the twinkle inhis eyes. He was devoted to Anson High and her students. He taught English well be- cause he loved it. The girls coached by him in basketball and the boys in baseball fondly recall the humorous authority with which ‘‘Coach’’ easily controlled his players. He was devoted to his profession, as much so as a man could be. It is with pride, fondness, and appreciation that the 1967 graduating class of Anson High issues this memorial in memory of a man who was loved by all - Mr. Arthur Newkirk. Tn Memortam He was everybody’s friend. He was jovial, kind, friendly, cheerful, sincere, fun-loving, and always smiling. He could brighten the dullest moments.
