She is a well manned vessel with cannonades of Latin, English. General Science. Ancient History, Algebra. Junior Business and Manual Training. Her crew know their business and hope for a safe journey with many prizes and few separations. She is well ollicered. The captain is James Farrier, the first mate. James Roddy, the second mate, Billy Matheny. the third mate is Ruth Weaver, and the quartermaster is Betty Adams. The crew have enjoyed one celebration so far. It was a great success and more are planned. The ship Freshman was thoroughly overhauled during Christmas vaca- tion. No bad lumber was apparent: the bottom was as sound as when it first embarked. The masts and the deck were firm. The guns were sti-ll in first class condition, and the crew were eager to be once more on their way to the next port, the Sophomore. --JAMES RODDY.
