Dedication: A Thank You To Our Parents Can you believe you are a senior and the end is here? Can you believe you are finally graduating and leaving the shelter of your parents to face the cold cruel world ? They are probably say- ing, It's about time, but it seems like only yesterday you were proudly running home from first grade to show them a star you received on your worksheet. Now after twelve long years for morej of good times, bad times, and hard times, the stress previously shared by the two most influential persons in your life has fallen upon your shoulders. Think back. Remember the unfinished assignment that was due the day you successfully planned a sickness . Remember the day you forgot your gym suit and your mother brought it to school only to find out there was an assembly that period. Re- member the day the principal called your parents and the line was busy? Remember the week you spent all your allowance in- cluding the fifty cents you needed for the basketball game and Dad came through in the clinch . Where would we have been without our helping hand? Now the year is over. The end has come of cancelled assemblies, of announcements, and of homework assignments. You're finished with class dues, signed report cards, library fines, and college boards. You really would be weird to want to return here next year Don't you think? But though the end is here you will be sure to miss the Parents' Day at the football game, the Band Street Fair, and the A-C Booster Club's All Sports Banquet. I-low often did you take time to thank your parents for the time and patience they have given to you?
