From the beginning of pre-season when Co-Captain Harry Zeiders died, A-C's baseball team seemed to ex- perience bad luck. Certainly, after the loss of such an inspirational leader, it was most difficult for the team members, especially the seniors, to pull themselves together--primarily from a psychological standpoint. Nevertheless, the Little Dutchmen, wearing black armbands as a symbol of mourning for their lost teammate, continued to hustle and to strive for victory. Their efforts were at least partially successful when they de- feated Palmyra for -the Elco Invita- tional Championship. jeff Tice was one of the team leaders in the batting throughout the season
