As a way of saying thanks for fourteen years of outstanding leadership, the Class Of l967 dedicates this volume of the CORINOMA to Mr. George Ger- ber. While many trite superla- tives could be used to describe Mr. Gerber's influence on most of us, only the most important aspect of his leadership, the lack of a double standard, needs men- tion. He not only sets forth cer- tain standards by which students should conduct themselves, but he lives by those principles him- self. 'Q' Since 1958 when his team won the County Track Championship, Mr. Gerber's teams have not lost. In 1961 Coach Gerber was instrumental in cross cou.nt1'y's becoming a sport at ACI-IS. 'X -f'f ' As a teacher Mr. Gerber shows the same dedication that he does as a . coach. l . 5 x , f In short, Mr. Gerber asks students to do little that he would not do--whether in the classroom or on the athletic field. The results of such leadership has been phenomenal, especially in track and cross country where his teams have dominated the local scene for years. Although his direct, positive influ- ence is harder to see in his earth science and geog- raphy classes, Mr. Gerber's same tireless energy, coupled with the perfectionist's eye for details, en- sures his also being a successful leader here. 4 as
