The busses arrived for the first time on that misty September morning . . The first bus-load enters the south entrance . . . F....,.g,.H..,.,,.,,. MH Opening Day . . . September 9, 1959 This was it--the dayfor which we had waited expectantly Everything was new, shiny, spick-and -span--and strange! Although we entered the doors eagerly, we hesitated in- side, wondering where to go or what to do first. Student council and honor society, faculty, and adminis- tration were at hand and eager to help--and so we soon felt at home. For, though the walls and corridors were new, the faces were those of our friends. 1 Another bus pulls up and unloads

We learned an important lesson as we recalled the nearly completed, but unoc- cupied, building--that schools are more than buildingsg they are people!
