Marion and Anne. grinned aT each oTher over Their coffee Table in Their San Bernardo home, each relaxing afTer a hard day-Marion aT her Hollywood Boulevard shop and Anne aT The M. G. M. STudios where she was a scenarisT. Marion: I cer+ainIy miss Those inTeresTing discussions during American I'IisTory. Anne: I-low we every goT Through is a miracle. Two aThleTes flash on The screen. WalTer MarTin, wiTh his skaTes, and Louis GonTer wiTh his Tennis rackef. Each was now a member of The U. S. Olympic Teams and had Taken prizes in The I944 Olympic in ITaly. WalTer: Those morning GeomeTry classes were raTher early, weren'T They? Louis: Yes, we were early birds and we goT our worms. Look, who's ThaT ringing The gong? Why, iT's James Briggs, how vivid The memories grow. James saT back in his easy chair. I-Ie was now superinTendenT of Buffalo schools. James: And I sTill have ThaT old faiThful waTch, iT never leT me down in school and never has yeT. Two girls appear. They hurry up The school sTeps. WaiT Till we see Their faces. O, iT's Mary and Julia O'Keefe. They are now school Teachers, and favoriTes indeed of Their pupils for They sTill recall Their own school days. Julia: Amo, amas. amaT. I sTill remember EaTher Walker's LaTin class, whaT an experience! Mary: AT Times I goT Tired of moving around for Marion and Anne, buT iT wasn'T Too bad. Look There! Who are Those ladies going inTo The Congressional Library? My, They look familiar! Geraldine Eleey and Marion Roessel, They are boTh novelisTs now. Geraldine: My, l've changed a IoT since Then. Marion: Many is The nighT I lay awake worrying over Cicero, alThough I realized I wasn'T alone in my misery. Look aT William Walsh and VincenT Sheedy figuring ouT Their gains for The year. They are parTners in ownership of a sTring of drug sTores. William: Our sTudy of chemisTry gave us a good sTarT in our life work. VincenT: We would never be where we are now wiThouT iT.
