george warner taylor with his sermons in chapel and active participation in our classes, mr. taylor has maintained an academic as well as a per- sonal interest in each of us. through his attempts to unite annie wright as a true community, he has stressed the boarder- day student relationship and has relaxed the atmosphere with informal talks in study hall and deep sympathy for the indi- vidual, what he has contributed will not leave with him; his influence will remain.

mrs. v. e. crowe rni s. crowe has been a friend and representative of the seminary during the administrations of miss wilson, miss jenkins, and mr. taylor. in describing the work done in the school by mrs. crowe, we hope that you will think of her as mr. taylor does, when he speaks of her as a saint, under miss wilson, mi ' s, crowe joined the public relations staff, serving in this capacity until nineteen forty-five, when she retired to care for her family, during miss jen- kin ' s administration, she was asked to return, since then mi-s. crowe has given more of her time, capability, and aid in teaching religious education and sewing to the lower school, advising raynor guild, and acting as an official chaperone and housemother, in this yearbook, the stu- dent body wishes to communicate its love for this de- voted and refined lad v. english department left to right: mrs. robert e. pierson, academic dean, col- lege counseling, class advisor; mrs. james h. monroe, ivy vine advisor, class advisor; miss margaret betts, class advisor; mrs. daniel g. o ' shea, geography, gram- mar. history department left to right: miss joan L engle, class advisor, service league advisor; mr. paul L hendrix, head of middle school, director of admissions, class advisor; miss janet m. ahlborn, class advisor, shield advisor.
