Valemaras Cukurcxs The Daincxvcx Club is a unique club at Annhurst, because to belong to it one must speak and understand the Lithuanian language. The purpose of this club is to preserve and share many aspects of Lithuanian cultureAart, litera- ture and music. Once ct year the club sponsors CI program to commemorate Lithuanian Independance. This year c: concert featuring a Violin soloist was glven. SPANISH CLUB President: Rosemary Ball Vice President: Iosette Biein Treasurer: Pauline Falso Aucoin Secretary: Sylvia Brectult Moderator: Sister Albert Cecile, F.S.E. The Spanish Club aims to enrich the members With Ct knowledge of the culture of Spain and Spanish America. This year the members took c1 field trip to New York City where they had dinner at the Spanish Restaurant Ligorio , and then visited a Mexican art display. During the year several people Visited the club to speak on the highlights of Spain and South America.

The club is offered for those students interested in learning more fully the culture of the French people. Main activities of the club this year included 0 trip to the Little Theater Auditorium in Worcester to attend c1 performance of Racine's Andromaque and periodic discussions devoted to the analyses of the Noeud des Viperes of Frangotc Maurictc and La Ioie of George Bernanos. SCIPIONIC CIRCLE President: Marlene Muller Vice-President: Bethanne McNally Secretary: Patricia Mangcm Treasurer: Iane Carubict Moderator: Sister Gertrude Emilie, F.S.E. The Scipionic Circle is devoted to enchancing limited classroom study of the antiquities thistory, literature, grammar, eth with further research and discussions in these areas. Seminars with Classical Students from Holy Cross form an enlightening and interesting part of the annual program.

The Biology Club tries to promote among its members Ct clearer understanding of the vast world of biology. This year the topic of exploration was Anti- Histcrmines and Tranquilizers. Lecturers and members of the club delivered papers on these subjects. EPSILON DELTA Officers: President: Ann Garrity Vice-President: Karen Moran Secretary-Treasurer: Bruncx Ptccin Moderator: Sister Irene, F.S.E. Epsilon Delta, formerly the Physical Science Club, consists of students who are interested in the sciences of chemistry, physics and mathematics. To promote this interest, the following activities were undertaken: the study of astronomy, the discussion of the Great Centuries in Mathematics, and the second annual publication of the scientific journal, ALPHA.
