Its purpose is to coordinate and sponsor activities of both Ct social and educa- tional nature on our campus and those of other nearby colleges. The committee, with the cooperation of the Student Government Association, offers such activities CISI mixers, lectures, concerts, football games, and C1 ski weekend. The Public Affairs Club offers students an opportunity to become better acquainted with the workings of government on the state and national level. Members of the club participate in the annual meeting of the Connecticut Inter- Ccdlegiate Student Legislature Which holds CI three day session at the state capitol in Hartford. Under the able guidance of Sister Ioseph Bernardine, the Club provides rewarding and interesting experiences for its members. 71

Glee Club Officers: Katherine Hand, Secretary; Dorothy Champagne, Accompanist; Dorothy Brown, Secretary to the Alumnae; Rosemary Waldron, Librarian; Inez Pia, Glee Club Director; Nilinda San Filippo, Sylvan Belle Director; Judith Whalen, Social Chairman and Mary Reynolds, Chairman of Arrangements. The Annhurst College Glee Club, under the able direction of Mr. Frederick Mirlioni, is the largest club on campus. This year Annhurst sang CI joint concert with Assumption to celebrate the Christmas holiday. Other concerts included a joint concert with Boston College and CI weekend trip to New Iersey to sing with Steven's Institute of Technology.

Main activities of the club this year included 0 trip to the Little Theater Auditorium in Worcester to attend c1 performance of Racine's Andromaque and periodic discussions devoted to the analyses of the Noeud des Viperes of Frangotc Maurictc and La Ioie of George Bernanos. SCIPIONIC CIRCLE President: Marlene Muller Vice-President: Bethanne McNally Secretary: Patricia Mangcm Treasurer: Iane Carubict Moderator: Sister Gertrude Emilie, F.S.E. The Scipionic Circle is devoted to enchancing limited classroom study of the antiquities thistory, literature, grammar, eth with further research and discussions in these areas. Seminars with Classical Students from Holy Cross form an enlightening and interesting part of the annual program.
