Editor: Paula Delmonte News Editor: Valerie Kuleszct Moderator: Sister Helen of the Sacred Heart Under its moderator, Sister Helen of the Sacred Heart, The Heather, the college monthly news- paper publication assumes the responsibility of reflecting the timely events, information, opinions and attitudes of the student body. It is the official communication of the college to over five hundred subscribers consisting of the Armies, their parents and friends of the college. THE HARLEQUINNES President: Carol Ruszenos Secretary: Anita Hart VicevPresident: Margaret MCMullan Treasurer: Paula Delmonte Director: Mrs. Watterston The purpose of the Harlequinnes is to promote the interest of dromatics on campus as well as to entertain. This year the Club has presented four productions including the annual Christmas play Columbine Madonna which was an unusual presentation based on the old French comic characters Columbine, Pierrot, cmd Harlequin. The project for the year has been the development of acting, concentratinqt on speech.

This year the Sodcdity carried out its annual fund raising project, 'The Apron Social. Money derived from this project aided in purchasing a vigil light stand for Our Lady Chapel. PUBLIC AFFAIRS CLUB. Vice-President: Margaret Dean Vice-President: Sondra Martello N. F. Represz Mary Ann Sarmuk Treasurer: Roberta Lacey Secretary: Ann Garrity President: Mary Ann Souza Moderator: Sister Joseph Bernardin Members of the Public Affairs Club were given the opportunity to learn and understand the function of our state government through actual participation in a mock session held at the stctte capitol in Hartford. The bills presented were for Compulsory Liability Insurance and Outlawing ot Hypnottsm for Entertainment.

The girls also participated in the two annual business activities of the club e the book and the Christmas ribbon sales. Members of the club joined the Sociology Club in a trip to Harvard's Peabody Museum of Anthropolong and attended the Easter New England Biological Conference. Representative: Winifred La Perche Treasurer: Iosette Blein Moderators: Sister Arthur Marguerite Miss Helen Monahon The principal activity of The Keys is the publication of a monthly paper! The Whoo. This year the Freshman and Sophomore members made a trip to Boston where they visited two large insurance companies: The John Hancock and The Liberty Mutual. The Junior and Senior members travelled to New York City for Q tour of the Wall Street stock markets. All members participated in CI Christmas act of charity.
