FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY ACT l Scene I. Twenty-nine green Freshmen enrolled in Annawan High School on August 29, 1950. Those who enrolled were: Robert Bartman, Roberta Bartman, Adrianna Blackert, Graham Browning, Blair Clcmentz, Elaine De Craene, Kenneth Filers, Donald Foerder, joe Gilbraith, Dorothy Goodwin, Helen Greenwood, Frank Gripp, james Gripp, Esther Hermie, Shirley johnson, XrVilliam Keeley, Caro' Kleckner, Henry Nanninga, Ken- neth Newlon, Bonita Norway, Margaret Powell, Ralph Pritchard, Virginia Quaife, john Simaytis, Philip Snider, joanne Talbot, Marilyn Thompson, Norma jean Van Updorp, and Marlene Vyneman. Scene II. Received a thorough initiation given by the Sophomores. A. The girls were dressed in gunny sacks and blouses. Their hair was in pigtails tied with a green ribbon. They wore their Dad's work- shoes, one arm in a sling, and three onions around their neck, They carried a pail to carry the Sophomores books. B. The boys wore girl's skirts and blouses and high heels and hose. Their hair was powdered, make-up was abundantly applied, and one arm in a sling. They carried a pail containing the Sophomores books. C. Refreshments and games followed in the afternoon with stunts by the Freshmen. Scene III. Mrs. Lois Allen. class sponsor, guided us through the year along with the class officers: President, joe Gilbraith, Vice President, Mar- lene Vyneman, Secretary, Margaret Powell, Treasurer, Graham Browning, Student Council Representatives, Frank Gripp and Margaret Powell. Scene IV. Lost one member, Dorothy Goodwin, at the end of the first six weeks. Scene V. Gave an assembly on Manner at a Dance under the direc- tion of Mrs. Lois Allen. C1l1'fz1:7Z. The green Freshmen enjoyed their first year at Annawan Hi h School and ho me that their next vear will be 'ust as en'o able. g l . l l Y
