NEWS BITS Annawan Scores Victory for Army-Bound Coach Annawan high school's basketball team said goodbye to Coach Benton Odum Tuesday night with a 58-41 Two Rivers conference victory over Atkinson. Odum left Annawan today for Marion where he will spend a few days with his parents before entering the army on February 16. Odum came to Annawan last fall after gaining state-wide recognition as a Marion High and Uni- versity of Illinois basketball player. Prin. Alfred E. Ehrig will take over Odum's coaching duties for the balance of the season. Bob Nowers, president of the Annawan student council, presented Odum with a gift at the game.
