S enior Plav elf BAND GETS FIRST RATING AT DISTRICT Annawan schools and community can justly be proud of their band under the capable and efficient direction of Mr. Vitto. The first rating earned at the district speaks for itself. Other first ratings were: Saxophone Solo by Bebe Lee Vetter and Marimba Solo by Carol Nowers. Second ratings at the district were: Cornet Solo by Ronald De Splinter, Saxophone Solo by Sharon Ufheil, and Mixed Clarinet Quartet by joan Morisette, Charlene Parker, Shirley Shaw and Marilyn Keim. Third ratings were: Horn Solo by Mary Ann Gripp and Saxophone Quartet by Sharon Ufheil, Betty Monson, Carol Machesney and Bob Nowers. Piano accompanists have been joan Morisette and lilaine Van Hyfte.
