7 MACHINISTS DIVISION M Division personnel have the responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the main propulsion plant which powers the ship. The Y stand watches in two engine rooms to maintain the main turbines and 1 aso MM operate MMM three water-distilling plants to produce ap- proximately 30,000 gallons of fresh water each day the ship is at sea. Dvision personnel also maintain an array of auxilliary machinery in each engine room. They take pride in their work and serve as a closely knit and well trained team aboard ANNAPOLIS. ENS. K. D. SPence Division Officer X , The Blower is the most popular spot in the engine room. , The Evaporator readings .,Scumebuu,, are taken every hour.
