LTJG P. C. Garcliner Division Officer CIRCUIT CONTROLS DIVISION CC Division is responsible for the maintenance of reliable radio paths both to and from the ship. They are primarily equipment opera- tors, having cognizance over the operation of transmitters, receivers and the facilities control or circuit control area. The circuit control operator is a highly trained individual who must be thoroughly familiar with high frequency radio propagation conditions, multiplex, cryptographic and voice terminal equipment and the various test facilities for accurate determination of circuit quality. The receiver operators are responsible for the proper operation and tuning of the receiver used on single side- band, voice and broadcast signals and also for timely recommendations to the circuit controllers about operating frequencies and circuit con- ditions.
