POEM l The senior class of '49 Will leave fond memories behind, As we depart from Anna High To enter the greater school of life. Though few in number, strong are we: Loud and clear will the praizes be Of our high ideals, our accomplishments too, And our everlasting love for the Gold and Blue. First comes our President, jolly R. A., Whose motto is: little work and much playg But he is no slacker for a fact, In football he can break your back. And Burl also is a starg ' In engineering he should go farg For with his classmates he ranks very high Both as a student and as a good guy . Glynita, most beautiful girl in the class, Made us wonder sometimes how she managed to pass Tho' to school many mornings she strolled in lateg Ggod grades she never fails to rate. Bobbie Lou was always smart in class, She knows for sure that she will pass: She was never known to break a ruleg In every way she was true to our school. The re is much we owe to Omega Sue Who has been with us only a year or two As captain of the basketball team She often made the rafters ring. Imogene Holland is a very dear girl Who is sure to go places in the worldg With determination not to give in, Wealth and happiness she no doubtwill win, Mozelle was ve ry quick to learn, With much ability her living to earng We hope in the future she'11 continue to meet All of lifes problems--success or defeat.
