The Spartan squad returned 12 lettermen from the 5-4 record season last year The team came into the '85- 86 year with a new set of goals m mind. Assistant Coach Rex Mehrhoff. who works with the defensive coordinations, set the goal of not being scored upon Not until the ‘Game of the Year' against Cumberland-Massena did the team lose sight of this. After losing the grasp on the Conference Champion- ship, the Spartans returned for sweet revenge, Anita conquered C-M 14-3 in the first round of playoff action The Spartans advanced to the quarterfi- nals to face Nishna Valley Pic 1.
