Six Anita FFA members attended the national convention held in Kansas City in November where they served as members of the national courtesy corps. Seven members attended the State FFA convention April 18-20. For the first time the Anita State Bank sponsored radio broadcasts on KJAN from the national and state conventions and during National FFA Week The freshmen conduct of meetings team received a silver rating at the sub-district contest. Shaun Rydl received a gold in creed speaking at sub-district and a silver at districts. Chris Mailander advanced to state with home and farmstead improvement proficiency award where he received a silver rating. The Anita FFA chapter sponsored the district livestock judging contest in the conjunction with the local contest. They also supported the band shell project with a donation of time and money FFA — A Little Bit Country. Pic 1. This year's officers were Tom Wittrock — sentinel.
