 The Wild. Wild West” Homecoming festivities kicked off with the seniors winning the Anything Goes contest on Sunday. Cheer-n-Whistle day was held Monday. When a cheerleader blew a whis- tle. chants and cheer were heard throughout the halls. Tuesday some came straight out of bed to participate in Pajama Day and the senior boys held a pep rally to show off their breakdancing skills. Wednesday was wild west dress-up day. Jersey Day was held Thursday, and the junior boys also had a pep assembly. After Friday night's disappoint- ing defeat by Walnut. 14-8. everyone danced to Dynamic Sound.” Pic 1. The AHS music department presented ‘Fiddler on the Roof which revolves around the character Tevye and his acceptance of changing times in 1906 Russia. The theme centered around long-standing traditions giving way to new ideas. One of the newest of these was the idea of love. After his daughters all broke away from tradition and married the men they loved. Tevye began to accept this and learned to appreciate it. Like him. most of us. too. find change difficult to accept. That was the magic of this musical — its message is timeless. The number in the cast hit an all time high with fifty people participating. The play was a lot of work, but well worth it, said Karyl Lund. The menu of the dinner theater was changed from spaghetti to an Iowa Chop, cooked by the Pork Producers A Touch cf Bread way Pic 4.
