Debaters Rebuild in 83-84 With over holt of the people unexper- ienced. much of the year was spent on teaching the basics of debate The teams attended a workshop at Valley to help them In topic analysis. They competed at several WILD's (Western Iowa League of Debate) and The Bullcreek Classic; they fared well at both. A team consisting of affirmatives Mark Kopp and Troy Christensen and negatives Dave Konz and Todd Scholars placed 7th at state competition. Sherry Vais and Keri Poeppe (affirmative) and Derxse Rathman and Karyl Lund (negatives) made up the team that placed 9th. The future looks bright for debaters.
