A TIME OUT FOR ASSEMBLIES The 1980 A.H.S. entertainment consisted main- ly of five entertaining assemblies and one movie. One of the assemblies was a mime actor. He came and gave his interpretation of the mime world. He challenged students to do such things as jug- gle or play in his miniature band consisting of a tambourine, bike horn, trumpet, and the cym- bols. (see pic 4). The last day before Christmas vacation, the Stu- dent Council lined up a movie to show in the afternoon. The movie. Burnt Offerings, was about a some-what normal family moving into a bewitched house and the changes they made to cope with the situation but end up dying anyway. An Air Force band from Omaha, Nebraska came to play and sing a variety of different hit songs. The band, Flair'' was invited to come back for various other occasions. Mr. and Mrs. Al Bell made their way to Sons of Shipibo in South America. Mrs. Bell modeled the latest fashion of South America. Next year they plan to go to South Africa. Mr. and Mrs. Saxon are from Philadelphia and they also make a living by traveling but they only travel mainly through the United States and Can- ada.
